Lapua, the Official Rimfire Ammunition for Precision Rifle Series (PRS), is pleased to announce they will attend this weekend’s 2022 PRS Rimfire Finale at the CCC Shooting Complex in Navasota, TX.

Hosted by TX Precision Matches, the PRS Rimfire Finale brings the best of the best rimfire shooters together, December 3-4, to determine who will claim the top competitor spot for 2022. Competitors are invited to the Finale based on regional rimfire standings with the top 30 open division, top 30 production division, and top shooters within the lady, senior, and Mil/LE categories of each region receiving an invitation.

Lapua and JP Enterprises will team up to host a side stage at the Finale on Friday, December 2, during registration and sight-in day. Shooters will fire five shots at five different lollipop targets. Prizes will be given at random for shooters who connect with all five 5 targets as well as the individual with the fastest “clean” time. “We are proud supporters of the Precision Rifle Series and look forward to being onsite for this year’s Finale”, commented Geoff Esterline, Director of Marketing. “Partnering with high-quality JP Rifles will demonstrate how Lapua ammunition provides a competitive advantage to shooters of any discipline.”

Lapua IWK Berlin 2022 a success

The Lapua IWK Berlin 2022 took place at the Walther Arena in Berlin, Germany. Around 300 athletes from 20 different countries attended, with a total of 500 starts in various disciplines. A great achievement considering the challenges covid have presented up to the time of the competition!

The highlight of the first day was Team Lapua’s Peter Sidi winning in air rifle. He also took third place in the 50m rifle 3-position. 1st was Lucas Kryzs (FRA) and Simon Weithaler (ITA) took second place.

The Lapua Test Shooting service also attended and gave rimfire shooters the possibility to test various Lapua .22lr ammunition lots.

Lapua is proud to announce that we are hosting the Lapua 3C Challenge, a brand new long range shooting event in Fourdrain, France on 24-25th of May.

The 3C (‘Chaque, Cartouche, Compte’) challenge consists of one day of rimfire matches up to 400 meters and one day of centerfire matches up to 1,200 meters, shooting targets of different sizes on different ranges. The event is set up in co-operation with Instinct Tactique, with support from GBM, Bergara Rifles, B&T Silencers and Riton optics.

To sign up (in French) for the event and to request further details, go to the sign up page.

We are happy to announce that Lapua Monarch Cup Schedule is finalized for 2022! With ongoing travel restrictions in Canada, the Board of Directors were forced to change the 2022 Lapua Monarch Cup series. Originally designed as a match series between Canada, USA, and Mexico, the 2022 Lapua Monarch Cup Series will be conducted only in the USA and Mexico.

The Lapua Monarch Cup will be the must-attend event of the silhouette shooting world for 2022. Hosted in two different countries: United States and Mexico, the Lapua Monarch Cup will take place in conjunction with the NRA Smallbore Rifle Silhouette Championship at Ridgway Rifle Club (Ridgway, PA) Aug 7-9, and at Club De Tiro Saltillo Safari in Saltillo, Coahuila, Mexico on Sept 17-18. Competitors earn points from each match within their respective classification (Master, AAA, AA, & A), giving all shooters an opportunity for the $25,000 in cash prizes.

We’ll take the necessary measures to offer our friends and competitors the safest and healthiest facilities possible, in each of the locations. It’s our first priority. We are very excited to see this match series take place in 2022. We are disappointed that we are not able to include Canada in the 2022 version, but we understand this difficult decision.

Additionally, Erich Mietenkorte has been appointed to the Lapua Monarch Cup Board of Directors, joining Daniel Salazar, Jason Marsh, Jose Alfredo (Pepe) Valdes, and Adam Braverman.
